About our speaker
Jo Ann Herold is a purpose-driven C-suite executive with a passion for building beloved brands and empowering teams to innovate and grow. She began her career as a frontline worker at McDonald’s, where she discovered a deep love for brand building and cross-functional collaboration.
Today, she is recognized for her ability to set bold strategic direction, foster growth cultures, and deliver record-breaking business results.
Jo Ann has held prominent leadership roles, including Chief Marketing Officer at The Honey Baked Ham Company (twice), CMO at Interface, Inc., and Vice President of Brand & Communication at Arby’s. Under her leadership, each of these brands achieved consistent year-over-year growth in both sales and profitability.
 Her work has earned prestigious accolades, including two Effie Awards, the AMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the AMA Marketer for Good honor, and recognition as one of the National Diversity Council’s Most Powerful & Influential Women.
Currently serving as Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, Jo Ann is also an Executive in Residence at Georgia State University, where she has taught the MBA strategic marketing and leads the CMO Roundtable.
A lifelong learner, she has an undergraduate degree from Mississippi State and an MBA from Mercer University. She holds an Executive Coaching Diploma from Emory University and is a certified coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
She has published two books and is an Amazon bestselling author and Fast Company Executive Board member and frequent contributor.  Jo Ann frequently speaks on topics such as purpose-driven leadership, brand love, innovation, growth culture, and marketing for impact.
