What accomplishment along the way are you most proud of?
Few things are more exciting to me than motorsports so having the opportunity to design the livery for the Michael Shank Racing team was the highlight of my career. Walking through the paddock and seeing my design on the cars, the racing suits and the haulers was beyond awesome.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been smooth-ish… I’ve learned a lot along the way about time/workload management, making ends meet and following my intuition with clients who are ‘bad eggs.’ I’ve also learned that patience, hard work, and integrity create a very smooth road, paved with referrals and loyal clients.
What is “success” or “successful” to you?
Success to me is living a life I can feel proud of in retrospect — enjoying my work; knowing that I gave it my best even when things didn’t turn out as expected; having the freedom pursue what I’m passionate about; and, of course, when a client says, “You nailed it, we don’t have any changes!”
