Q: Please share your career story with us. What accomplishment along the way are you most proud of?
Equifax Inc. is considered one of the three largest American consumer credit reporting agencies in the world, and my greatest accomplishment was rebranding the business with new graphics, color palette, and typography standards. I created nearly 30 print and web templates and constructed 100+ page supporting brand guidelines which are now used by Equifax staff members worldwide.
My proudest achievement was a personal project called “Wish Wrapped” – a personal registry with a social media platform that enabled friends and family to claim gifts for one another for any occasion. I created wireframes, designed nearly a hundred pages, managed a small team of developers for the website and app and wrote several ‘Gift Guide’ newsletters, e-blasts and social media posts/advertising. I eventually took down the site due to the struggles keeping up with the development costs. I do hope to re-launch it one day!
Q: Please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have been passionate about art since childhood and took many drawing classes over the years until college. I went to the University of Georgia and received a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with Advertising as my major. Out of college, I pursued a career in this industry and although I excelled, I didn’t feel I was utilizing my unique creative talents or following my dream. I looked into graphic design and ended up self-teaching the industry in between work for a few years. I landed my first graphic design job in 2007 and never turned back! The combination of my creative background, advertising knowledge, and graphic design experiences, have led me to where I am today and I’m very proud of my accomplishments.
Q: What would you like to do next?
Continue to grow and excel. I love what I do and it shows with every project. My enthusiasm has brought me to where I am today and I feel privileged to have worked with so many great businesses and people. With a background as a Creative Manager and Senior Graphic Designer, I would love the opportunity to spread my passion, expertise, and knowledge.
