Q: Can you tell us about your business / career? What are you most proud of?
A: I am a creative professional with a passion for branding and marketing strategy. With an eye for aesthetics and content, I am able to direct a brand’s visual language and combine it with a marketing strategy that increases brand awareness and connects with consumers. I’m most proud of the new restaurant concepts I have been the creative lead in branding but my most prized project would be Beni’s Cubano, a Cuban restaurant in East Cobb where I was responsible for art directing all branding material and content but also interior design and decor. Having people write reviews on how awesome and authentic it looked really validated my hard work.
Q: Has it been a smooth road? If not, can you talk us through some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced?
A: I have an infamous quote I came up with a couple of years ago: “Nothing that turns out awesome is ever easy.” Being a bartender while attending a super demanding art college was challenging but it prepared me for my corporate position where I had to be very resourceful, learn things I knew nothing about, and multi-task like no one’s business. One of the biggest challenges in my professional career was being in a position with little to no leadership and having to figure things out for myself. Overcoming challenges make me a stronger person and I always learn a lot so bring it on!
Q: What is your dream job? What would you like to do next?
A: My dream job would be the Creative Director for a fashion or beauty brand. I would like to either work for an agency or a larger corporation as an Art Director or Creative Project Manager.
