Q: Please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got to where I am through some trial and error and taking some big risks and leaps forward. Getting out of my comfort zone helped me develop the agility needed to tackle complicated tasks. From taking a year-long study abroad trip to Japan to writing a novel in 30 days for a challenge, I’ve never been afraid of a challenge. I went from a small newsroom in the middle of Georgia to a trusted company that the whole state relies on. I’m ready to learn more and face my next challenge.
Q: Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been relatively smooth, outside of a few language barriers and workplace barriers, like having to adjust to the rapid-fire pace of a newsroom to easing on the brakes to settle down in a large, corporate office.
Q: What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success means moving forward with something that makes a spark in my belly, warms my soul and makes me trip over words from excitement.
